Is It Wrong To Artificially Change Yourself?

No, if you don't like something about yourself and want to change it, do it. I mean it is your body so you can do whatever you want to it. People say "Well if God made you a certain way for a reason, don't change". Well what is make-up? Your changing your looks with something that wasn't on you naturally.

So why is it so wrong for you to get liposuction, botox, or plastic surgery? It's not at all. For example, some woman look at wrinkles as ugly creases in their skin as opposed to "laugh lines", so they go get botox (if they want to). Some overweight people feel it's easier to get liposuction instead of spending non-ending days at the gym.

Is it wrong to get plastic surgery? Not at all. Some mistake the plastic part by being fake or being a barbie. NO! Plastic (in this case) is originated from the greek work word plastikos, meaning to mold or form. So when they say "Plastic Surgery" they're basically saying molding surgery, which makes sense if you break it down. It's not wrong to change yourself, it's each individuals opinion, one might say it's totally wrong, the other may say it is.

That doesn't mean we down eachothers opinion. My opinion is that it's not wrong at all. If you have a chance to better yourself and boost your confidence level by making minor or major chances, then by all means go for it.

  1. Nice argument! I like how you take a scholarly approach to an emotional issue. Your point about molding really does make me consider plastic surgery from a unique perspective.
